I can second that recommendation. Stayed there this April on our way back from Italy. Very nice position right next to the canal and free parking, water and dump. Electricity was supposed to be paid for but it was free - not sure why, maybe because of it being out of season.Or alternatively, there is a lovely canalside aire at Mareuil sur Ay, not far away from Reims.

Lovely little Champagne village with several producer's caves.
We will stay there again when we are in the area.

I forgot about that!!! I think most of the facilities are for the leisure boats that moor up along the canal here. Oh an a small Carrefour shop right next the the Aire (closed Mondays) and a Boulangerie/pattiserie with nice cakes and bread in the village.Thirded. Mareuil sur Ay is a lovely little aire. In addition to the things Peter mentioned there is also free WiFi along the canal. No idea why.
