Hi were off to Scotland next week, 2 nights in Ayre, then 4 nights in Rosemarkie by the Moray firth. Does anyone know if you can get dolphin watching boat trips from there? Also, is it still bad for midges this time of year?? :thanks2:

You are safe enough from the dreaded midge at this time of the year on the east coast
Dont know about the dolphin watching boat trips but there are trips from the harbour at Avoch a couple of miles east

Enjoy - wee shuey

When we were up there recently we saw the boat trips going from Avoch but we enjoyed spotting them diving in and out of the water off the site at Rosemarkie along with seals bobbing up now and then. The site Manager at the C&CC site will also give you the best tide times to walk out to Chanonry Point where the currents meet to see the Dolphins feeding on the fish thrown up in the tumbling waters.
