Huawei mifi thingy (1 Viewer)

had this dongle thing 18 months and never really used it , anyhow got a 3 data sim this trip to France, and after having a bit of trouble to get it to work , and been put right by people on here, I am amazed how well it works, it's never been beat yet, even in places our 3 phones had no signal at all, well impressed

i have them and they are great,wen i was uk last month i got the 3 sim for it,and so far used it from uk to italy then across to spain,will use it again soon back to italy,only place it didnt work was luxembourg but that was because 3 have no deal there

I have one and I am stuck! Put a prepaid 3 data sim in which usually works, but now it comes up on the website asking for login and password, which of course I have forgotten!

Anyone got any ideas?

Ps got the SIM card from EBay so it might be someone's own spare card rather than an official card!

Log in and password should both be 'admin'.

I have used a 3 sim in France and Spain and always got a connection but never been able to download any big files or stream anything.

Sorry but if it is the 3 website that won't work, when you connect with the 3 sim in a huawei device it should automatically connect to 192.168.1.1 and use that password etc.

If it is the 3 website then I would suspect something amiss with the sim ie no data left and needs topping up.

Think you'll find login and password inside the SIM card cover.

Correct, on the left hand side of the "thingy" there's a slot, insert a screwdriver blade in there and twist, the battery cover will pop off and inside you'll find a slilver label with the password you'll need.

I have just done the very same thing. Changed from the EE which came with the unit to the 3 sim advertised on here. The login and password details they wanted was for the Huawei app and web site. The sim connected to the MiFi and phone but not to the internet until I registered on the 3 website and re logged onto the App.

Just thinking today, there would be no grey water threads if it was like France, you cant go a couple of miles without an emptying thing piping up, where do you go in uk without paying through the nose
