Hi need site for a night on way to scotland, off motorway near morecombe, carnforth , thanks in advance i asked a few weeks ago but lost thread regards steve

Hi Steve ha my neck of the woods "originally" I understand Greendales Farm is fairly Google £20 per night with EHU it gets 7.5 from 41 reviews so should be reasonable. Hope this helps Best Wishes Tony

If you're in the Camping & Caravan Club there is a rally on at the moment on a site just south of Morecambe, and another rally over this coming w/e at different nearby site.
Both are in fields directly overlooking Morecambe Bay.
Don't know what day(s) you wanted, but the above might suit.

There's a caravan Club site south west of Kendal which is easy to reach off the M6. Can't remember it's name off the top of my empty head - something Moss. I used it earlier this year for the same reason

IF you are literally just wanting somewhere to overnight and then move on why not use the caravan park adjacent to Tebay services - all necessary facilities and only about another 30/40 mins north of the Morecambe motorway junction. Remember that anything round the Lancaster & Morecambe area is subject to traffic issues due to the new by-pass that is being built.

Some of the suggestions put forward are not that close to the motorway, but I suppose it depends on your perception of close and anticipated arrival time. Waters Edge quoted above is only a couple of minutes from Junction 36 and probably one of the closest.
