We have spent the weekend at Shroud Hill Campsite in Pidley Cambs! Dont laugh!
Its a lovely peacefull site with its own fishing lake.
It has a very good restaurant with a amazing menu,but is abit pricey.But you
get what you pay for as it was really good food.
Yesterday just up from the site they had a vintage hot air balloon rally,they just
inflated them and not got off the ground!
The only down side is you cannot over look the fishhing lake,which imo would
of made it perfect!

As you say - a bit pricey. £25 a night.
I'm probably way out of touch with current campsite fees but £25 seems an awful lot to me.
Fortunately my forthcoming return to the UK will be followed by a rapid departure to the land of D Roads where £25 will probably last me 6 weeks is "site" fees.

When we are retired we will be able to do the same as you hopefully,but for a quick weekend away its a lovely peaceful site!
