Hi, just enquiring if there are any rules about posting a picture from Facebook. It's motorhome related...nothing dodgy but as a new member I don't know where to look for rules about posting? Thanks .

As far as I'm aware anything is fine as long as it's not intended to offend or be outrageously rude
I often post stuff from farce book or youtube but rarely motorhome related :)

Good that you cared to ask (y)

That's the one!

Thanks for replying so quickly, every Motorhome driver I'm sure will have a fear of this happening.Feel very sorry for the driver, St Ives is not the place to venture into with a large vehicle, although local delivery vehicles obviously get around the place with local knowledge. The streets are just too narrow.

Look out for some shady characters wearing eyepatches, bandanas and dodgy waistcoats riding bikes! Piracy is not dead in Cornwall, it's DIVERSIFIED.
No deposit refund on this hire, I'm afraid.....

I'm amazed they tried to go through. I certainly wouldn't . A call to the police would be the order of the day for assistance

Living the dream.
Hmm, a question came straight into my head, WTF was he thinking to get there. I would have been reversing long before that!

Hired, probably thought they were still driving the family Nissan Micra.

Word on the street (St.Andrews St to be precise) says she missed the warning signs which are on every road in to the town. How close has anyone got to this and got away with it? Might be an interesting topic perhaps?

Ok I'll fess up. First year with Autocruise Starspirit I took the wrong road into Rowntree Park down a street full of parked cars. At the end it was a DEAD end  I had to do a 22 point 3 point turn :ROFLMAO: and failed so had to reverse all the way back with only a couple of inches to spare from the cars either side  eejit

Why is it call a "Hire" MH as clearly the problem is width not hight? Should be called a "Narrower" - because it is now!

Reminds me of that thread which went pear shaped about the need for cameras looking down the side of a MH to stop this sort of thing. :)

Tip of the Day:

I carry one of these in the glovebox just in case I need to double check height or width if I find myself in a tight spot.
