I have purchased a free standing motorsport awning which has, what appears to be 10mm beading, which normally goes into a piece of alu extrusion. In some applications this extrusion would then be attached to the side of a mhome or van. I want to "butt" the awning up to my fiamma F45I and put the top edge of the motorsport awning into the channel on the front of the fiamma.

However, the fiamma channel is about 6mm so I need some sort of adaptor ie a piece of 6mm to 10mm channel or strip.

Anyone any ideas who would do sucha thing? All I have found is the fig of 8 stuff which won't do the job.

Thanks
Pete

Hi there
I had the same problem
Riversway do an adaptor strip for £16-£17
One edge 6mm goes onto the wind out rail and the other 8mm, goes into the fig 8 strip, and then your awing goes in to the other edge of the fig 8
That sounds compilcated ! but very easy to do and works well
You have to specify either Omnistore or Fiamma

Hi Pete,

This is what you need:

Fiamma/Omnistor Drive away fixing kit OR532.
Designed so one side of the fixing kit slides into the channel at the front of a Fiamma/Omnistor wind-out awning.
(Fits, Movelite XL Nomad 3, Nomad 2+2, Navigator).

cant help peter, but the fiamma channel needs a 4mm bead......6mm is too tight and will only go in a few inch's then jam solid.

in know 'cos i bought the wrong awning driveaway kit with a 6mm bead on both edges.

i believe the american windout awnings use an 8mm channel
