Only one point though; I dont think the insurance companies charge more for LHD. I'm only paying £200 for full european on a £70k LHD Niesmann.

I'm sure I've always been asked LHD/RHD, so assume it's relevant.
Insurance aside, I've always had RHD for UK and find it no inconvenience in Europe, whereas I don't think LHD would be as easy over here (where we spend most of our time travelling).
