That is some trip, I read of iffy Police after bribes to the East, take care. Of course it may just forum rubbish but still, take care.

Have you got door alarms - pick up cheap in supermarket if not. Not allowed pepper gas spray but a can of fly spray would upset most thugs long enough to drive off.

Door alarms in the supermarket??? We only have the habitation door not protected by a very loud alarm, would a normal door alarm fit that?

Avignon in S France. The lakes in N Italy, Como, Garda etc or go down the coast to the 5 terraces in NW of Italy, then down to Pisa, Florence and across to Venice Definately Lake Bled in W Slovinia. E Slovinaia is mostly farmland but there is a wine area called Jeresulem. We visited the caves and Lipistrana horses and Lake Bled last year, a beautiful country. The natives are very friendly and most youngesters speak good English Never felt threatened there. We also did Dresden, Colditz and Leipzig in SE Germany They do an English tour at 3pm of Colditz! Really worth a visit. Haven't visited Rominia nor Hungary yet. Any more detailed info send me an email:thumb:

French Hypermarche - there are little battery alarms for hotel doors and the like. Anything that will waken you before you meet Them face to face has got to be A Good Thing.

And do not forget : watchtower with powerful projectors, barbed wires, your machine guns and mines (minen) to secure your MH !

have a good trip . my mate just returned from a similer trip in his landrover he says all the stories arecrap. he had a great time and is planning his next trip . most stories are made by the ones that never hardly travel anywhere. . have fun .alan.

I have done this trip in the opposite direction without any problems. Suggested visits are Aigues Morts - France, Loano - N Italy with train to Monaco or Genoa, Simione - Lake Garda, Jesolo Adriatic Coast with visit by boat to Venice, Ljubljana - Slovenia, Lake Bled - Slovenia, Lenti -Hungary using thermal baths, Keszthely - Lake Balaton, Timisoara - Romania, Brasov and Bran Castle - Transylvania, also Cesky Krumlov in Czech Republic. They were all scenic and interesting places and there were too many more to mention.
