There are a CC CL and a C&CC CS near to Newton Aycliffe but I've never used either of them.

The CC site at Stockton (White Water) is closed at the moment so the closest will be Durham. The closest C&CC site is Barnard Castle.

If you are just looking for an overnight and don't mind wilding, then there are loads of quiet spots on the Newton Aycliffe Trading Estate. There are several unoccupied factory units with large level car parks where nobody is going to bother you.

C&CC CL at Oakleaf Centre, Newton aycliffe.
I stayed here recently and the CL is very spacious and pleasant.
Unfortunately the ground was very wet, and like myself, my van is somewhat on the large and heavy side. This caused no problem and I was found a suitable hardstanding by the sports centre beside which the CL is located.
£9.75/night and this included access to the centre facilities/bar/restaurant.
