travel from uk to france and spain (1 Viewer)

we are new to motorhomes,we want to go this November to spain via france for approx. six weeks,any help and hints welcome

it's winter.. so be prepared for a cold trip through France.. sites are closed, aires are open but some may have the water shut off.
You may also encounter snow..

some prefer using the Ferry to Spain .. Santander or Bilbao.. Brittany Ferries

In Spain.. head for the South East, around Almeria for the best weather ..

Some 'snowbirds' in fact quite a lot.. over-winter in Benidorm.. not my personal choice.. but there are several sites to choose from... very popular.

We left in January and took the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander. Came back early April via France - Northern France was cold and closed. Would suggest you follow @scotjimland advice and get to Spain as soon as possible.

We did this trip with much advice from this forum. France is closed, as others have said. Take enough provisions. We didn't and found that in village Aires we couldn't find shops or restaurants open. Please join the forum to access the resources section, particularly Tonkas route. Good luck and welcome
