Hoping for some advice please....
Our 2001 autocruise has suddenly developed cracks on the plastic skirting near to the exhaust outlet, why after 15 years I'm not sure.
Is there a product that would make a repair? the trim is grey although a bit weathered now.

Many thanks in advance
Steve

Is it plastic or fibreglass, plastic will be smooth on the back and fibreglass would be rough.

Living the dream.
Perhaps it has been vibrating and eventually given up? Mine did so I ran two stays made out of 15mm copper tube (sons a plumber) and riveted them to the lip at the bottom of the skirt and onto a metal brace inboard.
Try drilling a small hole at the top of the crack to stop it or slow it down at least till you find out what it's made of. Glue a plate across the rear of the skirt and fill/ glue the crack.
Any pictures?

have a word with a local fabricators they may be able to let you have an off cut of aliminium that could be glued and riveted on the out side . would look like its meant to be there .
a faint checker ally looks nice .

If you want to just try to strengthen it on the inside Sikiflex will stick to it or an epoxy resin if you wanted to fibreglass a patch (normal fibreglass polyester resin won't stick). otherwise vwalan's suggestion sound pretty good.
