I need a towbar for my ace firenze - any idea's? (1 Viewer)

I'm looking to fit myself a towbar for our Ace firenze 2008 model, but everyone i've emailed or called don't stock them. one or 2 have said they can make them but need loads of measurement and that seems a little bit hit and miss to me and seems to only work if i took it there for them to make and fit on the vehcile, so i'm at a lost.

Anyone got any idea's where i can buy one off the shelf to fit myself?

Try PWS in Poole although you may get the same response if they have not made one before.

make one your self .or visit a good fabricators . you dont have aproved tow bars to contend with like cars. i,m sure you must know somebody close to you. most are only cobbled together angle n box . cheers alan,.

Watling Towbars specialise in making custom towbars for motorhomes.I had one made for our previous motorhome, and it was excellent, they did a great job.PWS in Poole quoted me £250 more than Watling for a custom towbar.

But this looks like an off the shelf you might be able to fit yourself:

The Ace Firenze has an Alko chassis extension and is specifically designed to accommodate an Alko tow bar.
It is highly recommended that you use this tow bar which is homologated to your vehicle.

Swift part number for the Towbar is 1076926 (Alko prt No 261732)
the harness is 1076555 and control unit 1076556

I live in Cleveleys just down from you, I had one made and fitted by Michael Parkinson in Freckleton done in a day, he lent me a little car to use so I wasn,t stuck in Freckleton for the day, he fits them for the local dealers etc but also for the public direct, I don't have his Tel no now but he will be on 118118 etc if you want to talk to him, He did a good job on my Bessacarr.
