Appledore would be nicer, better view and a nice small town with some nice pubs, lots of little fisherman cottages etc.

Hi you can stay overnight on kingsley car park overnight right by the river & town a couple of minutes walk away cheers Rod

Since 2008 (started in a VW T4 campervan)
I stayed overnight July 15. There were some teenagers using the car park to hang out with various cars, but they weren't really a problem. All went home to bed before midnight. I would head towards the far end of the car park.

We used Bideford a lot over Easter. Its quieter than Appledore with a lot more space. Park in the overflow near the rugby club. Its a bit quieter than the skatepark section.

Also highly recommend Great Torrington car park for an overnight. Superb countryside views. Very quiet.
