We are thinking of buying a pump up drive away awning. Any suggestions?

Also on here a few days ago someone posted details and picture of a little pop up tent thing that could possibly be used for storage - if anyone remembers it can you post a link to it for me please.

Thanks.

@The Cruisers - the picture posted was of a Quechua pop up,this is the brand name for Decathlon products in the UK. I personally recommended the Quest Elite spring up shelter (£169 on E Bay) as I feel it is more substantial and is as easy to collapse as put up! Several Funsters have the Quest room and I can highly recommend, AND it is manageable by 1 person.

I second the Quest pop up yurt from Glossops
mine's the slightly bigger one.
10 mins to put up 2 people, room for 8 seats + table
net sides to keep wind out + covers for seclusion .

@FIDGET we have the same awning and agree with your comments. It's a brilliant product but we have to leave it on top of the bed when travelling as it doesn't fit in our lockers. So easy, quick and light.

Quest have a smaller version of the 'spring' screen house which is a square rather than hexagon shape:

It's the same height though @Minxy Girl which prevents it fitting in our underbed/s lockers. Still a brill piece of kit.
Not it's not when folded ...
  • Hexagon 6 sided one: folded: 185 x 18 x 18 cm
  • Square 4 sided one: folded: 167 x 16 x 16 cm

So it's 18cm shorter, just over 7 inches ... which I'm told can make a difference! :D

Ha ha, I've heard the same thing:love:. I stand corrected, I thought they were the same height.
We love ours and I don't mind moving it about when travelling (the awning that is, just to clarify;))

We the Vango Airaway Sapera. Too dark, and sticks out too far from the van. You need a very wide pitch. Otherwise not bad.

Have a look at the Vango Idris inflatable awning - they don't have a permanently attached ground sheet (it clips in) so is easier to store and you aren't paying for the inner sleeping pod that comes as standard with some. One thing to watch out for with inflatable awnings is the angle of the tunnel as some are quite severe so make opening the habitation door virtually impossible.
