Spend approx 6 months a year in our van and it gets used hard and generally stands up very well to all the use. The one bit that does let it down however is the bathroom which has a huge sunroof that lets in a tremendous amount of light the consequence being the plastic has finally discoloured and started developing numerous cracks I assume from going brittle after 14 years of sunlight. We did have it covered with Speedcoat about 18 months ago but it's not a very nice finish and we've never been 100% happy and now the Speedcoat has started peeling it's time to do something about it.
Been looking around for another van but unfortunately the only van that gets even close to ours is out of our price range and at our age we're debt free and don't intend going back there.
So with that in mind we've decided to have a full refurb done by Hambiltons and keep the van a few more years but also improve the condition as well.
So today negotiated a price Ouch for new bathroom new blinds in lounge and kitchen area and the bedroom vent replaced with a fantastic fan. About 7 to 10 days work to be done in July.
Hopefully it'll be money well spent and at least make the van much easier to sell when we do finally part with it but also it's a fraction of the price of trading for a new one and the first 2 years depreciation.
Can't wait to get it done now just waiting to hear that they can still obtain all the necessary parts.:)

It would cost you £10000 at a dealer to part exchange your van for an identical one,,,better to improve the one you know,,,BUSBY:):)
