On our first trip to France and on hook up, we get a red flashing light on the dial when setting to hot water on its own or hot water and heating with elec on its own or with elec+ gas.

All working OK on gas...

Any ideas?

Is the electric rated high enough? Usually u have two settings 900watt and 1800 watt from memory so roughly 4 amps and 8 amps. If the site only gives 4 amps and u have fridge etc on then that's why ...

Its a 10A supply so is sufficient, but the red light flashes whether 900w or 1800w

Fully sober, not an ounce of alcohol in my body and tried counting flashes...

To my eyes it just looks like constant flashing...looking at the link from @Minxy Girl it lists loads of different flashing combinations but for the life of me I cannot differentiate between the various fault codes....

Am going to take it to a Truma service centre and borrow their eyes....

I think the flash codes are for the LED on the main circuit board on the boiler, not the dial on the control panel. It sounds to me like the main 240v fuse on the boiler has gone. It's some time since I had a Truma, but this happened to me when I had one.

So much easier when you find the right flashing light....

s.s.l.s.ll.s.l

Code 45 : no 230v supply.

Have checked fuse and that is OK.

Anybody know where the water temperature switch reset is?

Getting better month by month.
Did you by any chance switch the heater on before ehu connected? If so sometimes my iNet system is expecting ehu, but if I connect after switching unit on it doesn't clear the fault. If this was the case, power off heater then ehu. Connect ehu then heater. Maybe worth a try. (y)

Checked for 230v to the heater - all OK. Reset the over temperature switch - still no joy. Checked the time delay fuse on top of control panel - all OK.

Spoke to a local Truma service centre (CTC at Witney - really helpful), "did you check the other time delay fuse.." What other time delay fuse..?" "Ah..the one at at the bottom of the control panel"

So back under the bed...of course the control panel is facing the opposite way and I have to be a bloody contortionist. Managed to get stuck and had to get the beauty terrorist to pull be out.. In doing so managed to drop the bloody fuse and it rolled under the heater, so still don't know if it is knackered.. Will buy a new fuse and fit it to see if it works..if not then will have to get the pcb board sent back to Tuma for testing.

Off for a massage now on my bad back.

Hallelujah....

Knackered my back but fitted a new fuse and everything is tickety boo....

37p for a new fuse(albeit impossible to see or get at...) and problem solved.

So for anybody else with a similar problem, my lessons learnt are:-
- look at the flashing red light on the control panel, not on the main panel dials
- there are 2 time delay fuses on the control panel, one under the top access panel and the other at the bottom of the large cover...
