I had same thing last year, when I pointed it out they were reflectors I was told that on an 8m MH they should be lights.
However it got the pass certificate.
So does anybody know the rule?
On a trailer it WOULD need lights.

That is what I found, so how has it passed MOT with no mention from 2011 until last year?

I would say because may testers don't really know, just as quite a few are failing cars with a 12n 7 pin towing electrics being inoperative, damaged etc when they should not be included in the test.
13 pin Euro sockets only

I was going to bring that up again. The tester got onto VOSA and they said it was a fail if the cap was missing/ broken as the plug might fall out.( only with a bloody hard pull)
No body else has agreed with it since including other testers. But at least it did not cost me twice.

Well it passed today, no mention of the reflectors rather than lights on the sides.
Slight problem, small scratch on rear.
Tester said he did not account for the overhang properly.
Told me straight away, and it is only a small scratch!
As I only came back from Eire on Sunday I probably would have thought I did it on a bush or something.
Free scratch removal, and MOT.
