Im a new owner of a 765 and I'm trying to understand the heating system .Have been away just over a week now and have noticed that the U shaped lounge gets much warmer than the dinette. The vents in the dinette ,under the table,by the hab door and on the cab step up don't seem to throw out hardly any heat. Is this normal , and has anyone else found this .(n)

If it's anything like mine, then there's a lever that can adjust the direction of flow.

Mine is behind the heater :)

If your talking about a Bailey 760 then the heating is the alde wet type and has fins on the heater pipes which are ok but not very efficient in the areas you mention

Try turning pump down to just below 3, and there are bleed valves dotted through the system as well.

Thanks very much for the replies , from reading the handbook I think the system needs bleeding , will be contacting the dealer on return to home.
Now the water tank is supposed to hold 100 lts ,but I can't understand how we can use this amount just washing up a couple of times and making tea.I refill with a 10lt watering can and all I can get in is 35lts, which leads me to the assumption that the tank only holds 50lts !
Any comments from other owners most appreciated.

We had a similar problem with our water tank in our 745. The sensor in the tank didn't reach the bottom of the tank so our dealer replaced it. Works great now.

On the Bailey its best to fill it via the inspection hatch and ignore the silly filling system they fit. Mine reads 57 to 100 percent when its full! Oh for the days of a proper filling hole and watering can.

The alde heating on my Bailey works much better on gas than electric. But if you have electric we use a 15 pound fan heater, heats up the awkward corners.

Thanks all for replies ,have spoken to another Bailey owner on site ,he said his full tank lasted about 3 days . Mine lasts 1 day if I'm lucky and the pump stops working.I then fill through the trapdoor in the floor with a 10 litre watering can and it only takes 3 cans and its full to the brim ,the gage measures 37 per cent. I think it's another thing for the dealer to sort out .

As far as I remember from our two Autographs, if the gauge reads empty for whatever reason (needs recalibrating?), the pump stops working. Crazy system. You may still have 65 litres left but computer says no!

This sounds to be the most likely explanation to me .
Thanks to all for feedback, will be seeing my dealer ASAP.

We have the 740 and found that if we don't open the screw cap on top of the water tank slightly when on site then the water gauge shows empty in minutes, with a little air in the tank the pump works normally and will last a few days.

We are at Chester and I had a problem with pump until I remembered that I hadn't opened the top, working fine now, just have to remember to tighten it when leaving.

As Bob the bass says needs recalibrating, when you see the dealer get them to give you a copy how to calibrate, straight forward enough to do.

Now home from our travels and have booked the MH in with the dealer to sort out the various problems . Another question for 765 owners ,the drop down bed has a sprung mattress ,mine has developed a deep depression after less than a months use ,has anyone else had this or am I just unlucky ?

Our double mattress has noisy springs (don't ask!) And is only 9 months old. Was going to try and find a company to make a new one

just to update ,dealer fixed the heating system by bleeding. the tank problem was fixed by recalebrating on the control panel ,the dealer also turned off the pump automatic turn off {when tank gauge shows empty} at my request as they are not very reliable. The mattress sagging issue is ongoing, the dealer has been very good but the first response from Bailey wasnt very encouraging.I will be chacing them up soon as I get time.(Wife and Mother both in hospital)
