Hi Funsters,

Can you please keep your eyes open for a friends Mazda Bongo stolen from the Walkley area of Sheffield last night. Description as below.

To Sheffield people. We had our blue Mazda Bongo camper stolen last night. Could you please keep an eye out for it and contact the police if you see it. Registration number N312 XBR. It also had the Boggart performance sticks in it .

Boggarts are a Morris dancing team who use wooden sticks in their performances, it will have Boggarts stickers in the windows as well, will try and get a picture.

Need more details about the Bongo to help the search: Eg. is it an AFT, what colour blue?

Blue colouring can be light or dark. They can look like VWs but if it is an AFT (Auto Free Top), the roof raises - hence the enlarged roof head. If it is a Bongolow, it will look even more like a VW.

Oi light weight.

Seriously, friend just had a phone call from police, they have found the Bongo but it has been seriously TRASHED, they think it was taken and used for off roading, don't know anything more but once again SCUMBAGS have ruined someones dream vehicle.
But as usual if they find whoever did this what will they get, a slap on the hand and a telling off not to do it again.

Thanks all for offering your help to find it, but not a good result in the end.

sad day for them, and even if caught the slap on the hand will almost certainly not even happen for fear of compensation claim

probably cant even tell them off these days for some other reason

that is of course unless you or I drop a sweet wrapper by accident, or cut across a bus lane to avoid something, then see how tough they are

Latest from police is that they think it was used to rustle sheep hence the trashed state, she cannot get into police pound until Monday to see exactly what state it is in.

We live not far from walkly not many sheep in this area must have gone to Derbyshire .the mind boggles just how would you get a sheep in a Bongo van. Sorry to hear it's trashed hope the insurance sorts it
