We have a pull out tv cupboard. Hymer B524 Do all Hymers have similar?
Anyway we find the mechanism inside the cupboard that you attach the tv to very heavy and its difficult to pull the tv down.
Has anyone replaced the mechanism and if so what with? We would like to keep the tv in the cupboard if poss.

They are standard on most Hymer A classes BUT a lot of UK dealers spec their vans to have the TV on a bracket on the left as you walk in - that is what ours has got. Would much prefer it to be like yours but I have never managed to find where to buy one - the pics in @Stealaway link does not show yours as far as I can see. If you ever decide to get rid of yours please let me know and I will but it off you!

Thanks for your replies. The new bracket would have to fix to the part of the cupboard that slides out. It also needs to pull down so the tv is at a good viewing height. The one we have is difficult to get your fingers to the mechanism at the back to pull the tv down. I don't think we'll be selling it Peterc unless we can find a good alternative.

Can you attach something to the mechanism so you can operate it without having to get your hand up to it? Or are you able to cut a hole into the 'back' of the panel that the bracket is attached to, to help with this?

Hmm I hadn't thought of cutting a hole in the back. I'll have a look at that. Thanks

I may have misunderstood the type of bracket you have. The one I was thinking of lifts up from behind the small seat on the right as you walk in through the habitation door.
I think it's one of these - once pulled out it can then be lowered down:
