Hello Welcome to Fun, you could try Putting breakers yard.com into Google they are very helpful, though with the age could be a bit of a problem, but they may be able to point you in the right direction. Hope you can get it sorted out. :pink:

:welcomesign:john lewis ... you will see that some Funsters, mentioning no names, have too much time on their hands.... oh all right then @Popeye !

Sorry, can't help with your cylinder head, although I guess that's what has caused your over heating problem.

P.S. Can you please sort out the warranty on my tv that I bought from you!::bigsmile:

Could your problem not just be a stuck thermostat? anyway the fiat ducato 1.9 td is common as muck so you should have no problems finding a head from any van that shares the same engine however if you cant afford new look at some of the engine re-conditioners first as its better than the scrap yard gamble with no guarantee.

I'm Intermediate
found to have a cracked head
Hi John Firstly :pink: to the mad house, as for your troubles I'm
sure you will be able to get a second hand head, although it might take you some time to find. I used to be a Fleet Engineer at Whitbreads and we were refubing a very old vehcle for Whitbread's Hop Farm, I remember that the head was cracked and there was no way we could get a recon or find a second hand one. We ended up sending it to a specialist firm who said they could weld it. To be honest I was dubious but we had no option, we sent it away and it came back and we rebuilt the engine and lo and behold it worked. I must say the vehicle was not used very often so I'm not sure how it would of held up if used regualarly, but it might be your only option. There was another option but that was a firm that would recast the whole head for us, but that was too expensive. Unfortunatly it's no good asking me what company did that as it was so long ago and my memory as well as the rest of me has deteriorated. lol
But anything is acheivable, if expensive, just depends on what your vehicle and your bank balance is capable of.
Best Wishes Tony:(
