Quite right,I have often noticed refuse and refuge being mixed up,
Do wonder though if the printers ever notice the error or just print what they are given?

I'm going to go with, they just print what they are given. There is a pub in Ferndown, Dorset which has a sign on the car park. I didn't think it was possible to get so many spelling and grammatical errors in so few words. I'll take a photo when I am next in the area :D
It should be noted that the pub is not one I would recommend frequenting, unless having a fight is what you are looking for? :D
