I'm a newbie
Hi, we are picking up a new (to us) campervan this week. The seats all need a good clean. Can we take the seat covers off and wash them, or steam clean them in situ or any other advice please. The seats are orange and white. Also we live in France. Thanks for any advice. Jan & Steve

If you visit any branch of Norauto they sell car upholstery cleaner which can be used in situ. I have used it successfully on car seats but should work in m/h too.

I think the larger supermarkets will also stock it in their car sections.

Just try on an inconspicuous place first. Leave for 24 hours and check for any adverse effect before doing the lot.

Good luck!

many many years! since I was a kid
quite often the covers have buttons through them making removal difficult/damaging. also if you wash the covers you risk them shrinking

car upholstery spray works well and use a steamer for grubby stained patches

Not sure if you will be able to get a similar product over there. Rug Doctor has an upholstery attachment, if you rent one you could try that?

That's a good idea.

There are equivalents of rug doctor available.
