Not long enough, but a little common sense helps..........
Very interesting read, but I have been pointing out many of his comments on here in the past. I only hope that members read all of it as a little long.

It's 2x6 volts over 2x12volts that interests me not sure how valid this is thou. Need more research....

It's irrelevant - it is simply another option giving more choice in terms of size and battery type. 2 x 6v 100Ah in series = 12v 100Ah. 2 x 12v 100Ah in parallel = 12v 200Ah.

Agreed....but when did you last see a 240ah 12v battery.
2 x 6v 240ah = 12v 240ah....in not much more room than one 12v 120ah
Double that in place of 2 x 12v.....480ah.
Trojan do a 240ah 6v for £129....not a lot more than a decent 12v.

Agreed....but when did you last see a 240ah 12v battery.
.
End of last summer when my 2 very expensive deep cycle VRLA AGM finally gave up the ghost after 8 years of magnificent service.

It's no good upping the amp hour capacity of your batteries unless your charger is man enough to charge that higher level of amp hour capacity!
