Anyone got any ideas how to repair a stripped thread in chipboard?
OH keeps putting tins, bottles, any other heavy stuff you can think of in the deep bottom drawer in the MH. I suspect the hinge dropped slightly, which meant the catch was only just making with the latch plate so when I went round a roundabout all that weight pulled the screw out of the drawer front. When I checked all the other screws found that most of them tightened slightly.
Catch is on inside of drawer front so need to careful of screw length so it doesn't pierce drawer front.
Thought about filling screw hole with glue, then refit screw when dry but think glue will crack, any other suggestions (useful) will be considered
Cheers
Tim
