Route Malaga to Calais (1 Viewer)

Looking for route Malaga to calais with overnight stops

Depends on how far you want to drive each day.

If you go south of Madrid there's a serviceable campsite at Aranjuez, with an interesting palace to look at nearby.

We've also used the municipal campsite at Burgos which serves its purpose, and is within cycling distance of the town centre.

There's a couple of aires in the Biarritz area (Ave de Milady and Anglet Boulevard des Plages) - we prefer Anglet of the two.

The stopover we use a lot is Parc Futuroscope, just north of Poitiers but there's a 3.5m height limit. The MH parking area remains accessible even when the park is closed to the public because local buses use the roadways. Futuroscope's website tells you when the park will be shut - you don't have to pay to park overnight on those days.

After that we'd aim to get to the Calais area in a day, but it's 400 miles and we've also used the Honfleur aire as a stopover en route.

If you want to avoid stopping overnight in Calais there's aires at Wissant to the West and at Gravelines to the East, both about 30 minutes drive from the port.

Are you looking for a toll free route in France?
Are you happy to use Aires for overnight stops?
What facilities do you need at overnight stops?

As you plan to do approx 200 miles a couple more which we've used as overnights a few times now.If your plans take you through the somport tunnel then sabinanigo just before the border but was frosty last week in the morning although the water taps were still available and there is electric hookup at a small price.http://www.campercontact.com/en/spa...283/motorhome-parking-parking-pirenarium.aspx
