since a child
i was traveling down the med coast of spain.
didnt go to maroc that year.
in fact we did drive down through france that year then did spain and portugal . had to leave late as my partner had to have a hospital appointment in january.
my truck got front ended in quarteira in march . made a right mess of it. luckily although the driver drove off , we actually found the vehicle in a garage waiting repairs. we was sent there by a local scrapyard. i had a window from the pickup that hit mine that had fell off the back and it had vehicle reg etched in. all got sorted and the local police were fine .
it was the first trip with the mitzy after i converted it from a tipper to artic unit. i wasnt happy that day.
cant beat keeping diaries to help the mind .
i drove home with no lefthand light ,just drove in the day. fixed an audi light in till it all got repaired once home.

I was probably stuck in a traffic jam on the M25 whilst conducting my activities as a wage slave :(

Closest I can get to your dates nine years ago is Easter around April 8th. Myneighbour at Port Solent had bought himself a power boat but wasn't confident enough on his navigation so we helped him out blasting down to Dartmouth over Easter and home a few days later via one night in Weymouth.

Note how calm Lyme Bay was on the homeward leg, and of course I was still a pipe man back then.

2009 previously a tugger for thirty years
Well nothing as exiting for me I would have been at work forming panels for a Macdonalds store somewhere or another.

Travelling in the outback......

......after recovering from a near miss by a lamp-post spider. These, the largest non-venomous spider in Australia, drop on unsuspecting vehicles and entomb the occupants in a web, dragging them off for a handy snack later. What they don't tell you in "Wanted Down Under"

Nine years ago..
I THINK we were sitting in the living room discussing if we should get a caravan or a motorhome..
We got a caravan....
That lasted about two weeks and was swiftly followed by our first van

Getting better month by month.
Nothing as spectacular as those above. Just left HMS Ark Royal to join Naval Air Station Yeovilton.

And was still a Tugger (y)
