I've just received a Tag from ATMB to use on the French Toll roads.

I've a Ducato (2013) cab and the ATMB instructions of where to put the tag on the windscreen say to stick it on the 'shaded' area.

But, as you can see on the photo, there isn't much 'shaded' area to stick it to.

The top area that looks black in the photo is actually solid and there is only about a quarter of an inch of 'shaded' area.

Please could you tell me where have you put the tag in a similar Ducato cab?

Any photos you have of where you positioned your Tag would also be appreciated.

I've stuck mine just to the right of my dash cam and it works fine.

The advice about the shaded bit is only to avoid heated or coated parts of the windscreen.

I do not have a shaded area on my windscreen so I have just placed it centrally and as high as possible, not had any problems with it.

I think it would also work low on the windscreen as long as it had a good view of the sky, I used to swap my old Dart Tag between my car and MH and would just rest that on the dash, as far forwards as possible and it always worked.

I'd fit it centrally, above the dash cam

I queried my (most excellent) Sanef one last year and that is pretty much what they said:-

If your vehicle is older and does not have a shaded/mottled area you can just please it next to the rear view mirror on the windscreen and it should work fine

Many thanks for all the helpful replies.

I'll fit it centrally at the top and see how it goes.

Did you fit the tag in this position after ? I saw from the videos you posted that it worked well.
I have the same tag and windscreen.

Thanks

Patrick

We found that our AMTB tag was unreliable at the top of the window on our motorhome maybe the small overhang blocked the scanner, so I moved it to the bottom and it works fine there.
