- Still getting started
It feels like a lifetime, but we actually spent only three years investigating the market before finally taking the plunge and buying a 2006 Burstner to accommodate us and our twin grandchildren... I can't believe that everyone takes that long! It wasn't like buying a car - for a start we weren't anticipating that the dealer would, unprompted, find and fix any and all niggles in what was a used MH after we'd agreed the price (new fridge freezers can be costly)
We ended up with a completely different MH to the one we thought we needed at the start - demonstrating the need for a little care in wading through the vast amount of choice available. Many thanks go to Perthshire Motorhomes who helped us on the final step to ownership, patiently answered all our starter questions, and did a great handover with lots of good advice.
We're aiming for the south of France... but for the time being we're plotting our first nights away up here in sunny Scotland. What we didn't anticipate was that even a day out becomes more fun when you can park up, have something to eat, and relax, in-between exploring the destination. Any advice for good value travel to the continent from here is very welcome - in the car we've started using Hull in preference to the trek "down south", for example.
Looking forward to our new year of adventure!
