A MAN escaped with his life after arsonists attempted to set fire to his motorhome while he was asleep inside.

Daniel Williams, a father of three who lives in Dorking, had his mobile home parked in the car park at the end of Lusteds Close when the attack took place early on Sunday morning.

The attackers attempted to create a fire in both the fuel filler cap area and in the gas and electricity inputs, leaving them broken and charred.

Fortunately for Mr Williams, neither point caught fire properly and the assailants fled without completing their task.

Arsonists without a brain or common sense .... No surprise there then. Lucky for the man they had no idea what they were doing.
