Hi new to the group and thought we would just say hello. We were wondering is there any fellow motorhome/expats living here in Southern Spain?

As it would be nice to know where our nearest member is located.

Have spent a fair bit of my time down your way Cabopino and Fuengirola and I have friends down there.
Ended up in the Orba Valley by chance. I like it here and have been here since February, which for a fulltimer is a long time.

Near Madrid

Hope to meet you sometime. We live 40km north of Madrid on the A6 at a village called Galapagar.
Perhaps there are enough Funsters to have a Spanish meet. Perhaps during the winter.
Any suggestions?

Winter meet

Hola Amigos,

We live up in the mountains about 45 mins north west of Granada. Olive groves and not much else as far as the eye can see - and beyond. Been here 5-years now.

We're intending to spend the winter months somewhere a little warmer than here in the mountains and yes, for those that don't know, it can get mighty cold here on winter nights. We've had some snow each winter we've been here although usually just a flurry. If a meet was organized we'd be interested.

Hi what a great ideal we would be very interested in getting together to meet everyone.

May I suggest a campsite it is approx 35k south of madrid open all year?

Any other ideas?

sounds like a good idea although we usually go back to the UK in the winter via the German christmas markets

It is an ACSI campsite (cc). There are train and bus links to Madrid at the village (so we have been told).

We are in Mojacar South East Spain. Recently were evacuated because of the fires, first thing I grabbed were the keys for the motorhome!!!

Stopped there in April. Nice simple site almost in the town. Quick walk to the Palace and many gardens. It certainly has a grand railway station. Nice place to stop.

Only downside, not bike friendly, either poor roads or not allowed at all in the parks.

On our travels to Barcelona we stopped off at Mojacar and really liked the area. Often pass through that way.
