Hi everyone, happy new year to one and all. So sold my pennine pathfinder last year and am now ready to but a motor home. Done a lot of research and looking and have come up with the conclusion that the Swift Bolero is the one for us, has everything we want great space, good storage, low profile great looks (well I think so) and fixed bed. I am looking at one now 2007 with 19,00 miles on the clock, but am slightly concerned reading about rotten floors on them. So if the one I am looking at is OK but has done low mileage could the floors rot in the future ?, or am I reading too much into what was not a major problem.
Any thought would be very much appreciated.

regards

Hi Ranger'
WELCOME!
If you're concerned about floors, look inside the van for any bumps or 'soft' areas when you stand on it. Also make a visual inspection of the floor covering for signs of de-lamination. The rear wheel arch area can be susceptible.

Then look at the exterior of the vehicle. Have a good look underneath. Take a torch! A damp meter is also useful.

That said, we only tend to hear about the bad on here

Newer vans tend to have different flooring; some have a 'sandwich' floor, rather than treated plywood.

Others (including Balero owners) will be along soon to give more advice.

Funnily enough we sold our pennine pathfinder last year and bought an Elddis Sunquest 180. Never could bear the thought of towing a caravan. Loving the flexibility of the mh. Lots of day trips and overnight stops in Autumn and winter. Looking forward to France in the summer. Kids and dog love it.

No big advice. Just be aware that just because one van of one model has issues doesnt mean yours will. Just give it a good check. Normally plenty of room to inspect underneath before you buy. Best of luck.

We have a Bolero FB and are very pleased with it.
As others have said just make sure you check it thoroughly before parting with your hard earned cash (y)

Hi we had a 2007 680FB looking through some forums and discussing with a dealer it appears swift changed the
floor construction in 2009,they were fixing floors under warranty until 2013 (so i was told) I would get a full check done of MH, having said that we enjoyed the van and we still bought another Swift voyager 680fb 2011.
