hi,

Just joined up having spent 7 months (Yes really, 7 months:Doh:) researching which motorhome to get and have bought a Frankia - pick it up Friday. First trip next Monday.

We looked at RV's, Coachbuilt, A class, then started again. It was a bit like buying clothes for the wife - we looked at a Frankia months ago, then after going round in circles ending buying.........a Frankia.

Its an I730BD, twin wheel, rear wheel drive, Merc chassis so all in all we are very happy.:thumb:

Hi Pete, welcome and congratulations!

Wow, 7 months researching - I am impressed. It took us 7 days to decide, though the outcome was the same as wife decided she liked the first one we had seen the best ::bigsmile:

Thanks for all the welcomes guys.

Guess i should explain re the 7 months. We wanted something that could be used as a holiday home as well as for towing a racecar trailer hence the deliberations. Pretty amazing taking that long all the same as we bought our current house within 10 mins of seeing it, always buy cars on first look so this is not a trait. The problem is that there is just way to much choice.:whatthe:

Fixed the insurance today through NFU for a very reasonable price I thought:Smile:

Hope the other newbies are as excited as we are about picking up our new purchase on Friday

Have you paid yet ?

You must have heard "Marry in haste repent at leisure", same with MHs, personally I think you're rushing into this. Probably the summer heat getting to you. Ask for a cooling off period.

Fledgelings
hi,

Just joined up having spent 7 months (Yes really, 7 months:Doh:) researching Pete

Welcome one and all! Just fledglings ourselves. Took us a year to find one that ticked all the boxes.... even with so much choice we found it incredibly difficult for both of us to get the`wow' factor but happily patience payed off.

Enjoy!:thumb:

Just back from our first trip in the MH - after a few trips to the local camping centre for bits and pieces, plus some head scratching on various controlwe settled down to a great week.

The Frankia is everything we hoped it would be - comfortable, roomy and functional. Now busy planning our next trip and making a list of other must haves::bigsmile:
