For those who remember Ed Stewart (Stewpot). it has just been announced he died of a Stroke to-day.

Many an afternoon. listening to his amusing "rubbish" whilst trying to navigate the back-roads of the South West.

RIP.

Very sad indeed.

I had many happy times listening to him on Saturday and Sunday mornings, whilst my working parents had a much earned lay in.

SWMBO had open heart surgery when she was Six, her claim to fame was that Stewpot visited her in hospital and played her request chart song

Shared a table with him on a cruise about three years ago.
Came across as a simply charming man. No airs and graces whatsoever.
