We have used if twice. Free water and free electric (two points - one on the actual Service point and one on the wall by the bay furthest from service point). The aire itself is quiet and you will get a good nights sleep. The town itself is absolute rubbish and not worth a walk around. Last stayed there last week.

I have stayed there a few times and sometimes it is full when I arrive, but it seems quite acceptable to overnight in front of the adjacent fire station, but you need to keep to the side so that the SPs can get out if needed. There has often been activity around the station and no-one moved me on.

We stayed their on our way back North in October we had a lovely quiet night, but did have a visit from Jehova's witness types in the morning.

We clocked them and left the blinds shut, a Brit van next door had about half an hour of "education" ::bigsmile:

We were there two nights ago and it was fine for a stopover. Facilities were turned off for winter but fire station allowed us to fill up with water

Nobody's mentioned the red GPO phone box in the town! Marked spaces at the aire are very very tight! If you keep the fire station on your left there is a shortcut to the boulongerie along that road. Nice if short dog walk down by the river.
