An Autocruise Augusta left the site yesterday, after first opening his drain on the pitch then left it open all the way off, thought he was a funster because he had a big "smiley" on his back panel, but I don't think he was, also he was towing a quite big flat bed Brian James trailer with a new-style mini aboard, it seemed quite a large weight to tow, the M/H was peugeot=based, not sure which engine. Any one know the limit for this van?
Cheers, Dave:xsurprised:

Google search reveals the August is generally available with either 2.3 130BHP multijet or 3 litre 160 BHP multijet. They are listed as a GVW of 4250 which should leave about 1750 towing capacity (although that may be reduced by other factors. May be overweight or may just be within, does it bother you?

Oop`s. Recently brought 800+kg of Triumph Herald convertible, in bit`s, from Derby. On a trailer rated for 3t. My Tow bar is plated at 1500kg. According to Alko the premisable towing is 2000kg and the Train 5500kg. Pulled like the proverbial train all the way back to Yorkshire.

Hate grey water dribblers though!!. Followed one again last Peterborough on the Monday. Leaving a trail all the way to the A1, fortunately HE went south. we went North!! to gods county!.

There is generally a trail of grey waste on the road leading from Le Crotoy in France. We have followed plenty of foreign vans dribbling water, seems to be the done thing........

oh how I love these grey water debates

Does you car have Air con, it dribbles water, sweaty water
My grey water has a little soap added, does that make it toxic, errr sorry, unpleasant
Its only water, isn't it?
OMG a possible overweight trailer

There is war and famine in the world, now there's something to get worked up about

If you saw the crap that goes into the storm drain system and goes directly into watercourses and the real crap that comes out from overloaded sewerage works, it makes grey water look like gods sweet nectar.......and I would encourage everyone to dump as much grey water as possible at the moment to help dilute the disastrous road salt loading currently being washed into the ecosystem.

Oooh! This has got the grey water brigade shouting hasn't it? :)

I think you'll find the OP made an observation, and then asked a question, broken down into small bits:
1) (Observation) Grey water was dribbling then full open
2) What is the Train weight for the vehicle

I can't see where the OP expressed an opinion on either point!

The op said this guy opened his drain on his pitch.... the drove off with it open. That's filthy. Someone else has to use that pitch. Can't see why anyone would defend that.
@bubble63 I congratulate you on your fresh and nectar like grey waste .. I'm sure no one will moan if you dump your waste on your pitch.

I have been known to drop off most of my FRESH water if I am going home leave enough for a couple of flushes, why get caught overweight by 100kilos if you are only carrying water around, why do some get their knickers in a twist about grey, if it was BLACK then yes. It didn't take long into 2016 to get the old hairy thread going again.

For some reason, the water we wash up in and shower in does smell VERY unpleasant and if there IS somewhere provided to dump it, then THAT is where it should go.. BUT, I have occasionally (when wilding like a "freeloading tosser") dumped my grey water in ditches or around the base of trees (if in a hot country) and I shall probably do so again !!!
But I don't "dribble"..:LOL::LOL::LOL:... Oooooh no !!
Happy New Year.
Mitch.

I always let my fresh water drain before moving off, it keeps the weight down, we carry a 5ltr bottle of fresh for emergencys should they happen when we are moving between sites.

I ain't got any knickers in a twist. It's just dirty to drop your waste water on your pitch. Can't understand how anyone can condone that. Grey waste is dirty and smells ...
Or am I missing something here??
