Help "somewhere to park,store our Motorhome in paignton" (1 Viewer)

Hi all,we have just purchased a 7m motorhome and its impossible to get down to our garage as the ramp is too steep!! We live in the roselands area of paignton and i need to either rent somebodies driveway possibly or need somewhere safe to park. Anything concidered.. We use her at weekends throughout the winter, its just a worry leaving it on the main road.. Many thanks..

There's a storage place right next to Sainsburys on the Brixham road. I think it's Daintons.
Also if you go down the by-pass to where the palm tree roundabout was, turn left towards Newton Abbot ( old road way) and immediately right, there's a guy in there does storage. Think it says garden mower servicing . He never answer his phone so it's best to go there. I know someone who stores her motorhome there, not had any issues.
Further afield but really nice people is up at Newton Abbot on the Totnes road. I'll find details and add them on. Found it:

There are a number of places around the area but that's from just seeing them as you go by. I did need to store a caravan and went to a farmer's yard on the the way to Teigngrace. Good thing he wasn't in as it was just a muddy drive on the way to the farmhouse with no security.
However 12 Oaks farm at Teigngrace is a proper campsite with a proper repair shop and secure storage facility on site with good security. Its run by the Gale family a good local reputable family and business.

If it is just an access problem with the rear end grounding due to steepness of the ramp have you considered fitting Air Assist to the rear suspension this will give you 2-3 inches more clearance on the rear.

Thank you everybody for your comments,its much appreciated and ill look into all possibilities. air assist is a good idea but its the chassis that hits, would air help?

If it is the rear of the chassis, yes air would help.

arr, its the front near the exhaust that hits and it would be near impossible to reverse out due to the angle. i would kill the clutch

Or, make up some wooden ramps/planks to go under the front wheels to lift it all up

I take it you reverse in and the exhaust at the front grounds as you come off the ramp. Another idea how about a custom made exhaust repositioning the boxes so they clear, or is it possible to modify the ramp, either has got to be cheaper and more convenient than storage.

It sounds like a pair of ramps to lift the front at the critical moment would do the trick. You could make some simply by having a sheet of plywood cut into 8" strips then lay the strips on top of each other. If that gives you the lift you need nail them together to use until you find, or have made, long term equivalents. TBH I would go to a lot of trouble to keep my motorhome at home if it was at all possible.
