Has any one had there dish "Blow Up"... ?????

I have had one blow down backwards.....

But never from the docking position up... :xdoh:

Well in these horrendous gales mine did this morning... :xangry:

Bit scared to switch it on .... in case it goes to search mode...

As it is the wind is running down the thin side, so not bouncing about... :xThumb:

Dunno what I would do with that Mo, if its up with these strong winds I would have to try and get it down then rope it down.
Could damage roof if ripped off.
Good luck with that.

Only two possibles mate and neither good
The first is stripped gears, but given how tough they are and what they are made of that is unlikely
The second is the bolts on either side were not tight enough and have allowed dish to move on the spindle
Personally I would
loosen the bolts but hold the dish upright
Press the on button
Wait a few seconds and then press the down button
Once the box thinks it is parked up put the dish down to its normal lowered position and tighten bolts

On our 2nd MH now a AutoTrail Savannah which we're absolutely delighted with
Sorry to be an H & S geek but always remember what happened to Rod Hull and wait for the wind to recede before taking risks to your life going up ladders today. Emu still misses him!

Going to have a go at powering it up...

If it goes to search mode before I can press the shut down mode... or it accepts the shut down mode..

It will only blow down backwards...

But will be down and not bouncing around..

I don`t fancy getting up on the roof in these conditions.. :shake: :shake:

I`ll let you know what happens...

Hope every one is safe.... cos it`s wild down here...:xblush:

"Update"......

I got a ladder and Bill footed it, while I went up with the walky talky and talked Judy through what buttons to press...

After a couple of try`s it started or tried to move..... eventually it went over backwards and docked the wrong way... xroll:

But it is solid and has not budged an inch in the last few hour`s.... :xThumb:

So will leave it as it is till the wind abates...

Hope others are fairing well.. given as 70 MPH gusting 80 where we are.. :frowny:
