Since 2008 & many years tugging
Generally they are OK, brought one for an Ace about 3 years ago performance was as good as the original. Also bought cheap batteries for cameras and they have outlasted the originals.
The main difference is the quality control the minimum pass standard is lower on cheap batteries, so you can get a very good one or occasionally a poor one. As they only cost between £2.30 and £5.00 if first one is no good buy another one from another supplier, you are still quids in compared to an original at £20-£30. The ones on eBay that claim to be original @£5 they ain't.

thanks for replies.. will take a punt on ebay

As ever check out the sellers feedback to see if there have been many probs with what they are selling. There will always be some negatives for a high volume seller but I tend not to buy from anybody who has less than 99.8 or 99.9 percent. There is loads of choice out there.
