I'm a newbie
Hi everyone!
My husband and I were introduced to the world of motorhomes this summer. Our very good friends encouraged us to take their M/H away to Yorkshire for a fortnight and experience staying in a M/H. We had such a fantastic time touring in it that we decided to start looking around to buy one. We attended the Lincolnshire Motor Home Show and saw the Hymer DuoMobil which we fell in love with. Unfortunately it was their Demo so we were unable to take possession of it until the beginning of December.
We drove off in our new M/H the day after the handover to our first site next to Delamere Forest. The winds were strong gusting at 40 odd mph :( which was pretty scary. We spent the weekend trying to put things in their place and my husband reading through manuals the size of Encyclopaedia Britannica! We spent the coming week having some extras put on our M/H and then spent this past weekend trying them out. We drove home yesterday and while unloading and cleaning up, my husband and I were already planning our next outing in it. Can't wait to load up our M/H and go away in it. Our long term plan, is to go to Spain next year. We will take our time as there is no rush to get down to our place on the Costa del Sol. Looking forward to the next phase of our lives ... There are so many places on our bucket list we want to visit. But first, we have the small thing called Christmas to celebrate with our family. I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for 2016 :xThumb: ...
