PS, any chance on some info on how you shipped the van, the info I've got is a bit dated. SWMBO keeps on about doing a USA trip

Shipped from Southampton to Halifax, cost 1800 GBP, on a roll on roll off Ferry. Halifax clearance was C$150 and had it 2 days after arrival. If it's an English van it must be exported back out of the USA within a year.

Talk me through the thought process Lenny as they are fairly inexpensive to Charter out there. My thought are I'd prefer to take my own van because I know it and feel at home in it plus payback would occur after several months out there.

I had a Daymon Daybreak last time, forget what it cost but good value I seem to recall.... Griff

Avtar. 1999 Winnebago 32T. Cost $21K. 2009. sold June 2015 $14K. Depreciation $7K. over almost 6 years. (Circa £4600) Or Just £600, more than the shipping cost 2 ways. For in the order of about 50 or more weeks of use. Storage minimal, Insurance $800pa Annual costs (Texas) about $120pa (tax and Emission test etc) add some service costs.

Worth a Look?

P.s Passed Sheffield on our way to Colorado?.
