Sounds an interesting trip, described as an adventure. Some of sites will be basic or more like Aires, which apparently has put off those who won't go anywhere that had no fancy shower block!

"Some of sites will be basic or more like Aires" , . £1300 for a 21 day trip.. that's £62 per day... for that money I'd expect 5 star sites .. not an aire

That's handy! Not a problem English spoken everywhere in Croatia.
There is no convoy (thankfully) so you can travel when and how you like. It'll be nice to follow a route with a map rather than the SatNav.How does it work? Do you all travel in convoy or do you each make your own way independently to the overnight stops?

Sidney !! Beware ! We had to pay €50 for a green card insurance as Montenegro is NOT in the EU !!! (unless you can get your insurance Co to cover it ?)
But enjoy Croatia, it is fabulous. I first went there late 70's when Tito was the "gaffer" and there were armed troops everywhere, but it was absolutely wonderful.

Thank you for the info - much appreciated@Sidney
The road to Dubrovnik does go through the Neum Channel we did it a few months back. The road goes through Bosnia, there is an international agreement to keep it open although Bosnia have never actually signed it. Its only a few miles long but there are proper border posts although the EU lane moves very quickly they just waved us through both times.
You cannot get insurance as far as I know and apparently most vehicles are not insured. Goes through a nice little town cant remember the name but worth a 20 minute stop if only to say you visited Bosnia.
Just enjoy don't worry its no problem.
