Had one for 5 years many moons ago. Now starting again.
Go onto ebay and look in auctions for Kenwood Chef. Mine is 36 years old and still going strong.
The old ones were the Rolls Royces of mixers.
Get one with a dough hook for bread making.
There's one ending in an hour at £29 so far.

I've got a red one......:).....they weigh a tonne, cost a bomb and tbh I'm not sure that they are worth the extra money.
Mine was a pressie & it did earn Les a lot of gold stars at the time:xgrin:

they are the best mixer you can buy.. and no ' probably' about it. Still made as they were in the 1920s.. solid cast iron, metal gears.. real kitchen workhorses.. mine is used every day.. bread making, mixing, and with the veg attachment, grating and slicing..

You only buy this once.. not like most stuff that is binned and replaced every other year.. this mixer will see you, your children and probably your grandchildren out.. handed down to each generation to enjoy.. just like my old Singer sewing machine, made in the 1890s that still sews as good as the day it came out of the Kilbowie factory in Scotland..
