If anyone has read last saturdays (27/6) edition of `The Times' you must have noticed the camping supplement contained therein. In essence it concentrated exclusively on Tents, however on the inside back page headed `For Camping Cheats' was a picture of a mh.

Having been there in the past and still proud to wear the T Shirt, I know where my bread is buttered these days!! Interested to hear your views!!:thumb:

I've had a motorhome of various sizes since the seventies,at first my chums took th mickey until one weekend when it was p***ing down and the next one when it was so hot their beer went warm.
All I can say is each to their own and NAH,:ROFLMAO:NAH,NAH,NAH,NAH

"Since 2005"
We were on the Isle of Skye last easter, some tenter's were pitched near the hedge for protection from the high winds, but spent most of the evening in the dish-wash room with their flasks, I'm happy to be a cozy, warm comfy cheat in my motorhome:ROFLMAO:

so so true

We spent a good few years with tent on the back of our bikes, then last Aug, we were the 'poor relations', when it pee'd down & we were taken in by our caravan pals for the day.I had been trying to get hubby to agree to a MH and that day in Aug clinched the deal ::bigsmile: Now our tent pals, who used to take the mick, when we 1st bought our MH, are knocking on our MH when it's raining :ROFLMAO:

And as for the Times, well they are mostly fake everything: fake hippies, fake socialists so I doubt if they ever leave their posh pads in Fulham to stay in a tent!

I'd rather be a "cheat" any day after being in several "monsoons" that have wiped tuggers awnings out and flattened tents.

My Little'uns like to have their " creature comforts".:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I don't know about you...but I love being all cosy and warm listening to the rain beat down on the roof.....:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Got too much of that last year.

Been there...Done it.....Caught the cold....

you said it, i'd rather listen to the rain pitter pattering on the roof whilst deciding wether to get out of bed to turn the heating down or open the window a little to let some heat out,

than be shivering on the floor watching the water wick up the sleeping bag wishing i'd stayed at home :)

for camping cheats i was expecting it to be those people who go on euro camp holidays where the tent is already pitched for you, and there's an electric cooker and TV in it,

what's cheating about driving onto a campsite, leveling the van by driving onto a few wedges, sliding out the drivers seat (it's sams job to place the wedges :) and into the living area, where it's all there ready to be used, i built my van so everything is fixed in place, nothing needs unpacking or moving,
most tiring job i have is winding the awning out, one day i will buy that electric motor for my awning i keep promising my self :roflmto:

weve got it really good, but I do wish someone would invent the indoor bbq, I hate going out to cook and looking at poor tenters, puts me of my food:Cool:

One thing you must realise is that the Times is part o mucky Murdochs empire and as such may only have the levels of journalism as the Sun,only they can spell!:ROFLMAO:
