Hi
I have bought a 12watt circular led light panel with around 32 small led's which has a 240volt driver I was hoping to remove the driver and run the lights from a 12 volt source in my motorhome when I connect it to a 12 volt supply the led's are very very dim any ideas how I can make it work

First measure the drive voltage with the 240V supply. No reason for it to be 12V unless it actually says so.

You can get 12v to go to 18v but it's a chore
You can buy on eBay a 12v matrix that is around 7w which is very bright, l used these to convert my ceiling lights from fluorescent to led
I think that will be a simpler option

I've used a number of those in my interior lights - they're superb. It's worth knowing that they are available in both warm white and daylight and worth noting that they are 8W so no consumption benefit if replacing a spotlight or downlight but excellent where the original fitting uses one or more 10W halogens.

If you look around you can find lower powered versions I am waiting for some 1.5 and 2 wat versions to play with in the Bongo. In the motorhome I use 2 watt G10 replacement lamps which work fine and are plug in replacements

If you want 18v dc, check on ebay for "dc dc boost 150 watt" you will find for very little ( if you dont mind waiting from china) small unit , 12 volt in and choose your output up to about 35volts. On my last van I used 2 in parrallel to raise charge voltage to leisure battery. Definately not smart charging but worked a treat! If it works link below........

Thanks for all the replies
This is the light in question the 3rd picture is what I have already .
I thought that I could just remove the driver and just connect to the original wires

Just remove the lot with those cross head screws and replace the whole board
I used a big dab of silicone to secure the new units

Looks great

Ps good tip about getting correct light 'warmth' l always use warm exept over the sink
