Stuboy,

Congrats on the purchase - and many years of happy motoring ahead no doubt.

In order for us nice folk :)Rofl1:) to help - can you be a bit more specific?? What things are you most in need of guidance with.

you could try search for a topic you need help with first - I'm sure others have already asked most questions, but in case you can't find the answers, post specific questions and we'll do what we can!

hi stuboy.

are your bottles Calor or some other make...its printed on them.

if calor what colour are they....red or blue?

if red then you need a propane regulator,

if blue you need a butane regulator.

if its yellow or grey then its not calor and calor regs wont fit.

wouldnt worry too much about the pressure as new ones are 30/37millibar which is correct.

available from any caravan shop and a lot of hardware stores. around £7

while you are looking have a look at the date printed on the rubber gas hose in the locker. its the date the hose was made.
anything over 5 years old and it should be renewed as a matter of safety....they do perish and will leak.

if you cant find a date its worth renewing it anyway to be safe. couple of quid a meter.

push the hose onto the reg and fix with a jubilee/hose clip.

not sure about the buttons as all vans have different control panels.

OK - that control panel is known as a "zig" unit. There are different models, so Google ZIG unit and try to get details about your model.

In general they are switches for

on / off switches for:
- all 12 V electrics in the cmping bit (light, pumps fans, etc)
- the water pump
- the battery charger
- maybe the fridge (rare though)

toggle switches combined with displays (either little lamps or dials)
- battery voltage - main batt / leisure batt
- water level - tank 1 / tank 2 or fresh / waste

As for the Gas - perhaps someone with more info will pop by soon - it's not my area!

dont forget to check the hose date...for a couple of quid it isnt worth the risk of a leak.
