Hi

Looking at a possible break Post New Year. Due to medical Needs it would have to be close to a Large town etc; (Ie say Benidorm) or similar.

So what would you expect to pay per night in February. Now?.

Note:- when I last went it was less than 10euro per night!.

Can you still use Camping cheques?

Hi most campsites around benidorm do a 30 night deal works out about 15 euros a night but I think if you only stay on a nightly basis you will pay around 20+euros per night if you have a acsi cardthey are about 18 euros per night butnot all sites take them happy travels Rod

€3.00 per night at Praia da Rocha and a sizeable discount if you stay for a month at a time...

(Mind you, I know a less expensive spot I will go to after my weekend trip to Blighty Dec 11th.)

Think the unthinkable and stay in a hotel!

This was my response to someone somewhere else: 14 days over Xmas in Marbella for £380 (bed & breakfast)

I'm sure other deals are available and if you are only going for a short time or concerned about driving, why not let the plane take the strain? - Gordon

Bit late now but thanks for the heads up, first winter away and wife feels more secure on sites, so we have done a mix of sites and paid Aires and a some free ones in France. If I was on my own it would be a different kind of trip and a lot cheaper but it's her trip also.

There are only 2 ACSI (2016) sites in Portugal charging just €11, but they are not open through the winter. And likewise, one in Spain.

A couple of ACSI sites in Valencia are open all year and charging €13 inc hook-up.

Broken Link Removed

It's easy to search the ACSI site by price and country: http://www.campingcard.co.uk/campsite/search/

Unfortunately. I have been that route before (that is WHY I have "my own Bed / Facilities" etc). AND I HATE Airports. Bad enough going to the USA. where we are collected from the airport by family etc; and we only did that once every 6 months!. Getting to eg; East Mid. Finding parking, Carrying cases, NO Thanks!!.

Its worth a walk up the hill just behind your campsite for a look. to see what a motor home stop is like.

Camping Raco is reasonable if you're staying over 30 days 16 € a day for 2 people + MH or caravan. We pay 14.50€ for 90 days plus, under £11 a day which includes 2 kW of Leccie hot showers and serviced pitch. In the uk you struggle to get a decent site for anything like that price and the bonus here is you get sunshine even in winter.
