Oh that good news, must have settled down now eh?There was that bit of bother in May 1940 but since then it's been fairly quiet.

There have never been any problems at Dunkirk, or migrants.
The 'camp ' which was housing some few hundred economic migrants , most paid 1500€ to receive 2 attempts at entering UK & were transported to Calais by British smuggling gangs , was about 30kms inland from Dunkirk.
The Gendarmes cleared it,& everyone, last week.
Yes at both Calais and Dunkirk. The Calais ones are two story shipping containers with windows and doors cut into them, nearly ready. But also said they had increased police presence and the new mayor has said the army may be called in?Heard on news that they are building a migrant centre there...

Ditto,we were there as well sorry we didn't say helloWe arrived at Dunkirk Ferry Terminal last Wednesday 9th March, (after 4 weeks in France and Spain) a day earlier than our Ferry crossing back to Dover on the 10th. They let us overnight at the Car Park, just to the left of the DFDS Control Barrier entrance. Once they checked us on their computer, to verify our crossing for the next day, they let us through the Barrier, and opened an electric side Gate just past the Barrier, basically doing a u turn back onto a new Car Park. It has all changed at the Ferry Terminal there, since our last visit back in September last year. All new Tarmac, Fences, Barriers, etc.
Although the old Building still looks as if it's still there, unless my eyesight has deteriorated a lot since September.
