Ok know you cannot tow this little car but has anyone got one they trailer about.
Question can you charge at campsites off splitter ?
Know some campsite charge extra for a car worth it if they are paying for my milage!
Thinking about going a bit greener!
Thanks
Jim

My partners son in law has one (i3) as a company car, great piece of kit, accelerates like hell up to 98mph. He has the model with the extender engine that cuts in when battery power drops below a level maintains the battery power so you can travel above the approximate 70 mile distance.
If I was you the BMW i8 would be better because you can use the petrol engine to propel the car and charge the batteries at the same time when EHU is not available. All for the reasonable cost of £99,845!!!!!!!. 400 units on BMW's waiting list order now for 2017 delivery date.
You could use it as a tug for the MH. LoL

You can charge the i3 from a 13a socket which I do at home. Takes about 8 hours (overnight) however an i3 must never be towed
Hope this helps ?

I think the question should be is it 'fair usage' of the site hook up.

Well the old boy I came across in an M4 services ,not only recharging but also walking back & forwards to the petrol station & refilling engine/generator as it had also run out of fuel, was obviously going to overstay the 2 hour time limit on parking!:D
They shouldn't allow some people to buy them.:(

Some larger petrol stations have a DC charging point which charges in about 30 mins
These cars are not really designed for long journeys. When I bought mine the salesperson was very clear about their limitations and did a detailed fact find about my proposed usage

BMW should get their act together, put a regenerative system in it and allow you to tow it, voila, fully charged when you get to site (y)

Once these come down a LOT i will get one as supposedly up to 330 miles which is more than any i have seen advertised so far. No point me getting one that does 100 as i do more than that everyday but these are a lot different but at a price. approx 75k with some nice bits added

Still no towing though :)

Weight is 1100kg
do know it cannot be towed so must site on trailer
Would be buying ex demo one with range extender to replace our CRV.
Just wanted to know if charging at the campsite has been done by anyone?
Thanks

You'd probably struggle on many campsites as you'd need 13a, and many don't offer this, especially in Europe

Was in another uber cab today the ever popular Prius. I am now certain it has the worse ride quality of any modern car I have been in:)
